"I pay the price for being who I am. And that means not being a wealthy designer, but I am very happy to pay that price because I live a beautiful life. " I love this!
Thank you for the introduction to Artsi Ifrach and his ravishing designs as MASON ARTC. I particularly enjoyed your use of the dance analogy to describe his life, along with the quotes about fashion being different than the fashion industry, that he lives a beautiful life rather than a wealthy life and that Marrakech itself decides who stays and who does not (intrigued!)
Wishing you a Happy One Year Substack Anniversary….and many more in the field you love, Emmanuelle!
I am so glad you enjoyed MAISON ARTC, Artsi Ifrach's work is so unique.
I had to use the dance analogy after he told me he was a dancer for so many years and literally said he, in his words, "didn't work his work, but danced it." I always enjoy meeting and interviewing people who have a different view on fashion and the fashion industry.
I would have loved to dive more into his perception of Marrakech, but I was limited by characters (crying inside).
