So glad you are doing the book club! I thought you were great at all the meetings we had! Haha you should have hosted it since the beginning! 🫶 Glad to see you back here too!
I would definitely join your book club. Sounds so fun! And I’m sorry keeping up the retention rate of subscribers has been difficult. Especially considering how much work you put into each post. I imagine other fashion bloggers on here probably subsidize their Substacks with sponsored post, but because you write fashion criticism, that’s not always a good fit. I wonder, since I am such a big fan of your podcasting, maybe you could make one of your monthly posts a short-form audio interview with people in the industry you’re friends with/admire? To lighten your load a bit? Don’t worry about editing it, just post it as is. Also, could you share your “buy me coffee” link? I’d like to make a contribution.
PS: regarding the Buy Me A Coffee Link, I haven't been able to include in my last stories because it seemed like Substack didn't allow, so I didn't post anymore. I'll try again to see if it works now.
Yes, subscrivers' retention rate is difficcult so I hope the book club will be a good incentive even though I'll do it quaterly. I also guess many fashion writers are much better than me at marketing (and are consistent). Planning is the bane of my life, but also the thing I should focus on the most to be consistent, so I don't feel overwhelmed. I am a slow writer so when I see people saying they are working on their posts for the day after I am crying inside. I've been there and I HATE IT, that's why I never want to go back there.
Thank you about my podcast. I might try your idea. I'll do a poll, but I already know I won't be able to do it for everyone because some people I interview are not English-speakers. But podcasting is definitely not bad even though I feel people come here primarily to read. Let's see what the poll will say!
Maybe you can just post a rough, like Google Translate version of the transcript? Just something to help you bank a couple of easy posts since I know you put so much time into everything you write! And I'm a writer for a living, and sometimes, writing is slow and tough going. Don't beat yourself up about it. We all understand.

Haha! I wish you could continue doing them so we could do a cross-over! Thanks, I've been missing it here💔

Maybe this is a feature @Substack should add on their own. Like a tip feature? In the meantime, maybe message me or send it to me over email.
